Remote Capture Success

Postby 4NeR » 21 Oct 2011 20:38

SUCCESS!

I just wanted to share what I found after a few weeks of research.

1--Remote multi-Screen/Camera capture over local network.

"ispyconnect" has a propietary Client and Server with an unbelievable low "near zero" latency. This has great documentation and support and is easy to configure. Unfortunatly, I have found no easier way other than screen capture to get the picture. May need very large screen or multiple screens.

2--Picture in Picture remote computer screen.

"webcammax" This is also an easy program to configure, especially with the screen capture (full, Window, portion). Webcammax emulates webcam so we can capture or broadcast over the internet. There is other software out there, but webcammax allows me to resize the PiP.

The reason for this adventure was for Church functions. I have a presentation machine with Display 2 going to my projector. I wanted to send "Screen 2" over the network to my "broadcast" machine. (This uses lots of resources) I am now able to run "ispy server"on the presentation machine and recieve it in the "ispy Client" on the broadcast machine.

I use webcammax to capture PiP directly with the broadcaster like; ustream, tikilive, Flash media live encoder. I now have my presentation screen inside the main church camera.

I have tried several other sources like VLC with (rtmp, rtsp, mms and http streams) with little success or too much lag time.

Hope this works for you too.

Thanks.
Always one step ahead of dysfunctional.
