Primary screen goes dark after maximizing VLC on 2nd screen

Postby trtrmitya » 15 Oct 2011 18:21

Hello!

I am using VLC 1.1.12 on Mac OS X Lion (macbook pro early 2011).

I connect my TV's HDMI input to Macbook's MiniDisplay port output to watch movies on TV screen.

MacOS recognizes 2nd display so I move VLC window on it.

After I press Command+F to maximize VLC window on TV screen, my Macbook's display goes black and empty.

But I want my Macbook's display to be free for other work while VLC plays movie on TV's screen.

How can I do that?

Thanks!

Look here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=92114
and here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=92563

Solution: uncheck the checkbox 'Black Screens in Fullscreen mode' under VLC-->Preferences...-->Video
