I would to test the Quality of Service feature of a Layer 2 ethernet switch using a video transmission modifying the switch parameter (e.g. blocking all the ethernet frame with VLAN ID = 200 or adding )
As shown by attached image I have 2 video sender (TX1 and TX2) and one receiver.
Is it possible to generate an ethernet flow with different VLAN for different UDP port?
Or better, is VideoLAN able to generate an ethernet flow with a specific VLAN (C-Tagged)?
If not, are some SW (PC are windows based) that tag ethernet frames belonging to a video trasmission such as a videoLAN UDP stream?
To note I don't wont to test the QoS using a simple ethernet frame generator (e.g. ostinato) with a random payload.
Thanks in advance,
Cristian
