play a dynamic playlist

hi,

is it possible to play a dynamic playlist? That means, is it possible that vlc can "parse" the playlist file on every end of an playlist item and loads the new playlist without restarting vlc?
What I wanna do is:
Vlc should loop through all files in a folder, while vlc is running, I want to add new files, which are played by vlc without restarting it.

if vlc can't do that, maybe you can point me to another program.
