DVB-T tuner stops after few seconds

Postby woody91 » 14 Sep 2011 11:44

I have a Gigabyte U7000 usb 2.0 DVB-T tuner. In Hungary DVB-T is running under mpeg-4 (I know it's designed for mpeg-2, but it's able to play mpeg-4). I use VLC 1.1.11 and when i set to DVB-t and the correct frequency ( I let the another optins on default) it starts to play clear and in high resolution but after few second (3-15) the playing is stopping and after I have to pull out the tuner and reconnect again. It happens all the time.
Does anybody realise the same problem or does anybody know the solution? please help me because it's really annoying.

Open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2), then open the stream. After playback stops, check the last messages from the message dialog.

I turned it to 2, but I have hundreds of warning and other postes. Here are some of the most typical (I write only the "warnings" and the "errors"):
bda warning: Build: Cannot save Tuning Space: hr=0x80070005 (I found only one post)
Build: Cannot connect Sample Grabber to Capture device: hr=0x80004005 (try 1/2)
BDA SampleCB: Sample Discontinuity.
first packet for pid=1011 cc=0xa
pmt error: pid=1003 already defined
ts warning: first packet for pid=1014 cc=0x1
ts warning: scrambled state changed on pid 1031 (0->1)
packetizer_h264 warning: waiting for SPS/PPS
ts error: MPEG-4 descriptor not found
ts warning: invalid header [0x41:dc:bb:3e] (pid: 1101) (there are so many with little differences)

I tried to find solution in other forums but i've not found yet.

If you save part of that stream to hard drive, can any other programs playback it?

You need administrator privileges because the program needs to write to the registry
Either that or it doesn't like MPEG-4

I tried it in admin mode but it didn't help. Also I can record video (it is in .ts) and it contains more tv programmes. When i start it with media player classic (the newest) or VLC or windows media player they start with different channels. I could start tuner once with DVB viewer but the situation the same. I1m getting to search a newer driver (not from the gigabyte, because some tuners use that chip too), but I've not found yet.
