VLC Crashing...

Postby Jack Hammer » 30 Aug 2011 05:52

When VLC is paused or stopped and is left for greater than around five minutes it will crash upon commencing or loading a new video. This problem will occur no matter what the file type or encoding (Inclusive of audio). No menu or buttons are displayed so it has to be closed usually via Task Manager before watching or listening to anything.

I am using Windows 7 (x64) with the most current version of VLC. I do have 'Clone' set up by default, on four monitors; I think this is causing the issue.

Also on a slightly unrelated note, would it be possible to implement options for cloneing, such as which monitor to display on, current size, etc. As it is slightly irritating moving every window to the appropriate monitor.

You know gdb? It would provide us useful backtrace about the crash.
