we have a minimal hungarian translation (i don't think it was included in 0.8.2). ( previous translator was DirektX -at- freemail -dot- hu ) It would be nice to have an update. The translation process is simple :
1/ get poedit from http://poedit.sf.net
2/ get the hu.po file from vlc : http://people.via.ecp.fr/~dionoea/videolan/hu.po
then its pretty straightforward.
once your finished you can just send me your po file and i'll include it. (email is <my nick>@videolan.org)

feel free to ask for help using the mailing lists or on IRC :)

OMG, it's huge! :D

BTW I have time, but it's too much work for one person, this translation needs a team. I will see...

Ha bárki kedvet érez a magyarosításra, jelezze nekem privát üzenetben ezen a fórumon, hogy minél hamarabb elkészüljön a fordítás!
( it's hungarian :) )

it is huge but the main interface strings are what's important. If you don't have time, you can skip all the plugin option descriptions.

Poedit doesn't shows me which string belongs to the the interface, anyway I will surely make the full translation soon. 25% of the string are already translated, maybe someone will help me.

Finally, the team is growing, there are already 3 translators who will help me.

But becouse of the editor, only one person can edit the translation at a time, Poedit always rearranges the lines on each saving, and there are no line numbers :(

Hungarian:
Mivel egyszerre csak egy ember szerkesztheti a fájlt, ezért ha valaki végzett a fordítással, töltse fel valami ingyenes tárhelyre a hu.po fájlt és linkelje be ide a fórumba a pontos dátummal, idővel ellátva.

Tehát jelenleg a legfrissebb fordítandó fájl:
http://users.atw.hu/mat/hu.po

You could also edit the file with a normal (utf-8 compliant) text editor. Line order wouldn't change (but people usualy prefer poedit's interface). Maybe there even is an option in poedit to make sure that lines don't get reordered.
