How to remove the automatic backwards 3-4sec jump?

How to remove the automatic backwards 3-4sec jump?

Postby ricjmartins » 19 Aug 2011 17:43

In VLC, when using the "go to" feature, the program goes always to 3-4 seconds before the exact time I select. This happends also when using backwards/forward jumps: for example if we select (in Preferences -> Shortcut definitions) the length of the very short bacwards jump to 1 seg, it will work as 4-5 seconds jump; and if we select a very short forward jump to 1 sec, it works as a backwards jump of 2-3 sec.

Does anybody know if it is possible to remove this problem/feature? Thanks in advance!!

My version of VLC is 1.1.11 and the operating system is Windows XP.

Not all file formats support very precise seek. There is not much to do about that.
