VLC closes when adding more than 3 videos to playlist

When adding multiple videos to playlist in VLC (in either windows 7 or ubuntu 11.04) it will just close with no error messages at all. Have attempted to reinstall VLC many times now with the same result. Please look into this.

My investigation says that it works fine (tested on two different computers).
