Vlc 1.1.11 No longer displays Text

I'm having trouble trying to figure out why my VLC player no longer displays the title of a video as an OSD in fact it no longer displays anything as an OSD which includes subtitles ... If anyone knows how I can fix this it owuld be greatly appreciated

Probably because you selected "Dummy" as the font renderer, or a bogus font.
