Recording with VLC

Hi Guys

How does the record function work?

I am working with an existing video and want to record a section of the video I am watching to view as a standalone video clip.

How do I config VLC to do this ???

Red recording button does as-is recoding, so press it when you want to start recording and press it again when you want it to stop. Videos go to My Videos/Videos folder. (don't use this for video capture devices)

I found my missing movie clips.

Is there a way to config VLC to change the destination folder of the recorded clips?
