Your input can't be opened

Postby rowg » 16 Jul 2011 03:23

I have a .xspf playlist which works fine under Windows but under Linux it doesn't work. I get the following message:

Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL
'iptv://@...'

It appears this isn't a Linux only problem. Under Windows I had VLC 1.0.1 installed. Under Linux it's 1.1.10. I've upgraded the Windows version to 1.1.10.

Both OS versions of 1.1.10 aren't able to play streams in this format:
"iptv://@..."

This stream format works under VLC 1.0.1.

Nevermind, I was using a FEC patched version of VLC. iptv:// only works with this patched version.

VLC does not know "iptv://", whatever that is supposed to be.
