Hotkeys won't work

Postby rowg » 16 Jul 2011 01:05

When Ctrl+L is pressed to call up the playlist, it can be hidden once by again pressing Ctrl+L. After the third time using this hotkey it stops working properly.

After this third time I can close the playlist with the mouse. Pressing the hotkey again will show the playlist but it cannot close using the hotkey.

It also appears the hotkey won't work when using skins or fullscreen mode.

I was wondering if I've missed something for the above to work, ie setting a correct a preference setting?

The letter in between e and g isn't working on my keyboard. I'll substitute it with *

In Pre*erences>Hotkeys, there's no option *or the hotkey to hide/show the playlist.

Is it possible to set a global hotkey to show/hide the playlist in Windows using the command line?

In Linux is it?
vlc --key-playlist '<code>'
