VLC crashes when playing videos on Pentium 2

Postby laser23 » 08 Jul 2011 06:37

Hi, I was trying to watch an avi movie on my old pentium 2 laptop so I installed vlc on it and thought that it would work, but it crashes as when I try to open it. I have tried opening the movie on both XP and 2000 and it still crashes. I changed the video settings so that it did not use directx because I suspected that my 4mb ATI Rage Lt Pro was causing the problem but still had no luck. The video plays on both my Pentium D 820 and Core i5 2500k in VLC flawlessly. Thanks for any help.

Use VLC 0.9.10 or 0.8.6c
