Multimediakeys ( Fn + Arrowkeys) not working

I read somewhere that I would have to add the keys in the hotkey-settings of VLC.
However, the program seems to not recognize my keys.(How) can I solve this Problem?

Fn isn't a "key". If that Fn+Arrowkeys combo produces some mediakey in your setup (like Play), it should work with default VLC interface (QT4).

Okay, I got a solution. It seems as if my ASUS Hotkey program wasn't sending an actual key. Now that I've downloaded a program called "Asus notebook keys" I am able to change the Fn+Arraow keys to actual Multimedia Keys, which now are working in VLC by default (= I did not change anything in VLC).
