Discussion on the (deprecated) VideoLAN Server application as well as the miniSAPserver stream announcer. This is not about VLC!

Split Streaming through different interfaces (VLAN included)

Postby barc0de » 15 Jun 2011 11:20

Hello,

I am new to this forum and I don't know if this is the correct place to discuss this thread.
Well, there is this question. I have the following network topology

.............VM1 (Virtual Machine)................................................
...............|........................................................................
eth0..\.......|........................................................................
..............br0 (VIRTUAL SWITCH) =======DEST (Virtual Machine)
eth1../.......|........................................................................
................|........................................................................
..............VM2 (Virtual Machine)................................................
Where:
-VLAN1 : eth0-VM1
-VLAN2 : eth1-VM2
-VLAN3 : VM1-DEST
-VLAN4 : VM2-DEST

QUESTION: Is it possible to stream a video from the host and split it through different interfaces and then play it to the DEST machine ?

I think it's in the wrong subforum.
Can any moderator move it to the correct place please (I suppose VLC stream-output (sout))?
Thanks
