Synchronized multi-screen playback

I have tried in vain several times to get a synchronized networked playback of multiple HD files on multiple displays.

I'm sure this is well within the capabilities of vlc but it I haven't achieved it.

Simple scenarios are 1 computer with an ati eyefinity gpu (and 3 displays attached) Or 2 or more computers networked playing synchronized HD streams.
Playing a 1x3 channel muxed file or 3 individual files synchronized, as frame perfect as the pcs can handle.

any suggestion if this is possible or if someone could do this for a fee?
