Problems recording DVDs

Postby TheBigTime001 » 30 May 2011 04:22

When trying to copy the DVD-Video disc "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole" from its VIDEO_TS directory to a VIDEO_TS directory I created on my hard drive, I always get these errors(sorry that I have to be OS-specific): "Filesystem error" (Windows) or "Input/output error: Splice error" (Linux). Can somebody who has the movie, has VLC, and really likes the movie try what I'm trying to do and tell me in layman's terms if it's just the disc or is it how the movie is encoded, or just simply a problem with my OSes(I dual-boot Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux 10.01)?
If we can simulate real life so accurately, then isn't our reality maybe just one great big simulation as well?

Does handrake have a website, and if so, is it easy to download the program off of it?

What I really want is a program that can ignore the protection and copy ALL of the individual files, not just create a packaged MP4 file on my hard disk. In other words, it needs to be able to do VIDEO_TS directory cloning.
