VLC - Trojan question

Postby SV7 » 22 May 2011 18:49

Has there EVER been a case of VLC being downloaded with a Trojan within it? (downloaded from either the VLC site or any of the mirror sites)

I see a lot of threads/posts here relating to instances of anti-virus software claiming there to be a Trojan present.

That's the only reason I'm asking.

I assume that these cases are all false positives, yes?

There have been false positives. There have also been scams from unofficial websites.

Thanks.

VLC mirror sites are counted as being official, yes?
