Playlist no longer highlights current file

Postby whiterainbow » 25 Apr 2011 23:54

I've noticed in the latest version of VLC, the currently playing file is no longer highlighted in the playlist. I find this extremely annoying, as it makes it very difficult in a long list of files to tell what position in the playlist I'm in.

Is this a 'feature' that can be turned off, or a bug? Usually I'd call lost functionality a bug.

Works for me with VLC 1.1.9 on Mac OS X 10.6.

Make sure that you are using the latest version of VLC and remove its preferences to see if it helps. You can do so by deleting a folder called "org.videolan.vlc" and a file named org.videolan.vlc.plist in ~/Library/Preferences.

I'm on OS X 10.5.8 with VLC 1.1.9 32 bit - tried removing the preferences files on all my Macs and this still behaves the same way. I don't think this is related to preferences at all, I think it's a bug, I just wanted to check here first before reporting it as such.
