HTTP remote control as in 0.7.1 ?

HTTP remote control as in 0.7.1 ?

Postby nova-t » 07 Jun 2005 22:18

Is it possible to configure the latest VLC to operate in the same HTTP remote control mode as version 0.7.1 ?

How is that done ?

In 0.7.1 it was done by specifying the command line:
C:\Program\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe --intf wxwin --extraintf=http

How is the same mode accomplished in say vlc-0.8.2 ?

I got it operating in the same way by adding the same command line parameters in a link file. But I have an incompatibility with the famous Dreambox VLC plugin made by "Mechatron" :? It claims to work only with VLC 0.7.1. But that issue is likely not applicable to this forum, probably the HTTP repertoire changed after version 0.7.1 and that developer have some adaption work to do ?

you could try using the vlc 0.7.1 http interface files with newer versions. maybe that would help.
