vlc 1.1.8

Postby mike500 » 30 Mar 2011 03:47

I was using 1.1.7 when a pop up offered 1.1.8 as an update saying bugs had been ironed out.

A problem I was having with 1.1.7 still happens.

I download old Dragon 32 computer games to PC as WAVs and play them into the old computer via VLC.
The very end of the file was always missed off therefore wouldn't finish loading into the old computer.
It apears that 1.1.8 still does this.

Thankyou to the person who advised 1.2.0 nightly build but I haven't tried it yet because it says that it might have problems due to it being experimental. I'm not too good with modern computers and as yet dare not try it.

Thanks Mike.

You should dare trying it. It will not kill your computer.

Are you sure you took master builds?

Hello, I can't find anything called 'master builds'.

I get to the 'VLC media player Win32 nightly build' page.

There are dozens of options. Each one I click on gives 5 more options.

The only ones which run and install are the ones ending in 'exe'.

Thanks, I'll keep looking. Mike.

You should try latest trunk (1.2.0), and if the problem still shows up, then it isn't fixed.
http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/win ... 0401-0005/
and you can use .7z or .zip versios for testing, just extract the package to some folder and start vlc.exe from there.
