upside down files

Postby mushroom » 22 Mar 2011 11:42

Hello everyone,

please bear with me as I am a total computer biff.

I hope that this is the right place but if it isn't I'm sure someone will tell me.

I was running the previous version of VLC in Windows 7 Home premium. My wife took some short vids on her i-phone4 and then e mailed them to my desk top. When we tried to play them the were upside down. I worked out that with geometry I could get them the right way up but only for one play.

I went to make the coffee and when I returned wife had done something but she hasn't a clue what! The dog vids all played the right way up everytime but every other vid plays upside down. I tried to restore the settings but nothing I did worked.

I then downloaded the latest version of of VLC thinking that it would restore everything to where I wanted it to be.

Still no joy. I have to use geometry to turn around every file so that I can see it the right way up.

Please is there something simple I can do to get every file to play the right way up again?

Thanks in advance

Mushie

View -> Preferences -> Reset preferences, Save. Then restart the player.
