VLC not playing MPEG-4 SP streaming video

Postby shivaprasad » 21 Mar 2011 11:53

Hi All,

Im streaming MPEG-4 simple profile video over ethernet from ARM based platform. Streamed video is displayed correctly on mplayer and vlc player(version 0.8.6i).
But with latest version of VLC, streamed video is not played properly. Many color patches can be observed on video and its very slow.
I think video streaming is not working properly with VLC versions 0.9.x & 1.x.x.

Yes. Its not stream dependent. With H264 stream also im getting similar problem with latest VLC player.
With 0.8.6i & lower version of VLC, streamed video played without any problem.
