Saving player video settings

Really sorry if this has been answered somewhere but a couple searches here and on google didn't help.

All i need to know is if it's possible to save the brightness/contrast/saturation settings on the player?

My pc-tv have been video calibrated but VLC player is way out in default settings, the dark sections of a movie image are light grey.

Any help would be appreciated.
