modules/logo placement off

Postby roger jonsson » 16 Mar 2011 01:54

Hi,

I am trying to add a logo in the center of a 16:9 .mpg from DVB TV using the below commandline:
--sub-filter "logo{file=/LOGO.png,opacity=128,position=0}" MOVIE.mpg

The logo gets placed pretty far off center to the left. By setting the aspectratio to 5:4 it happens to be in the center.
If I again try with the original 16:9 mpg and try to place the logo to the right it gets placed somewhere between right and center.
Different videos different result, probably due to different stretching (DVD, DVB etc). It seems that VLC >1.X.X does not take into account that the video is stretched video. A few tests with non stretched movies the logo seems to get placed right.

Also, logo-x <integer>, logo-y <integer>, seems to have no effect, so how do I get that logo ín the center of that movie? -Is it a bug?

Testing the same with VLC 0.8.6d (different script for this old version), it turns out ok (smack in the middle):
--sub-filter=logo --logo-file=LOGO.png --logo-transparency=128 --logo-position=0 MOVIE.mpg

This is a bug, then. Please file a report.
