playlist that remembers settings?

If I spend time creating a playlist, save it, and reload it, its start at 0 seconds on the first item in the playlist.

Is there a way I can save a playlist and it remember what video I am at AND also remembers that timestamp of that video?

Right now I need to both remember what video I was at in that particular play-list but also the timestamp. Which even if I remember, it still takes time to set that back.

I never understand the point of a playlist if it does not remember what video you are watching...
