audio problem with MOV file.. versions newer than 1.05

Hello,

I have been using VLC version 1.05 on Windows for a long time. I recently tried upgrading to 1.17. It will not correctly play the file on this page:

The video seems fine. However, the audio sounds like the static you hear when an over-the-air TV station is off the air.

I have tried every version newer than 1.05 (I've tried 1.10, 1.11, 1.12, 1.13, 1.14, 1.15, and 1.7). This problem happens on every version, even after resetting all the settings to their default values. If I return to version 1.05, the problem goes away.

Any one have any suggestions? Thanks.
