Hello! I am having some poblems... I believe the reason is that I am a Braziilian and I didn't get the way how to use the software. Well, I am at one point that I believe I am transmeeting, but I cannot see on the web. I am trying with a DVD player. Please, if you have a good heart, help me on that. I am really interest to broadcast some of my things to my freinds in Brazil. By the way, my interest on that is because I am leaving on USA now. Please, help me.

There are brightness and contrast controls in VLC. You can access them through the preferences (in the "Modules -> video filter -> adjust" section). If you are using Windows or Linux, you can access them in the main interface as well, by choosing to use the "Advanced interface" in the preferences.
