VLC Web Interface, playlist and medialibrary issue

Hi,

After trying to (successfully) setup the web interface for VLC on mac and windows systems, I encountered a major problem, at least for me.

While the web interface of VLCs running on my two laptops, a mac (OS X 10.5.8 ) and a dell (XP SP3) is accessible by everyone on the network, the actual playlist and the media library of each VLC does not show up on the webpage. I tried with different versions, from 0.8.6 to 1.1.5, but this still bug. I used safari, chrome and firefox, on each operating system.

Adjusted the .hosts on both mac and windows computers so that everyone in the network can access each remote.
Going to the web app from other computers in the network works but VLC does not display *playlist and *media library.

Online how-to shows functionnal screenshots, but I can't get it working. Does someone have the knowledge to help me with this, please ?

I am trying to setup the server on os x at the moment do you have a tutorial website that you used? Also did you sort your problem out? As my main intention is being able to view the playlists... So if this problem creeps up on me I would love to no how to solve it in advance...
