When I double click a folder on my desktop, VLC opens up and give me an error message. I just want the Windows file finder to open the the folder, but VLC takes over. Any ideas?

Which version of Windows are you running? Right-click on the folder and click properties click customize tab and verify that it is set to documents. Hope that helps
