Is this supposed to work but doesn't because of some bug?

Ok, if anybody wants to fix this one, I will offer them a reward again: $50 whole dollars!
Let me know if anybody wants to take it on.

Is this still not fixed? I can't understand why this doesn't have higher priority, it is the number one reason I won't consider VLC for daily use.

Higher priority doesn't mean anything here. This is a volunteer project. So if someone wants to fix it, he/she is free to do that. But nobody is forced to do anything.
