Where's the Pause Button?

I'm usisng VLC Media Player on Windows 7 and trying to work with the audio on VLC and typing that info on my Open Office word processsing program. Naturally, I can't type fast enough(even with the slow and slower features on VLC, but I can't find a pause button anywhere. When I stop it, I can't find a restart button. Either would be fine.

Default key is the Space Bar to toggle between Pause ON and Pause OFF.
