From what I understand, fixing that bug isn't a priority since it is seen to only affect corporate users. I can understand that given that the developers are volunteers. However, corporate aren't the only people affected by that issue. It also affects schools and colleges who routinely use redirected AppData folders.
We don't typically have the financial resources to hire a developer to fix any given issue, and it's been a long time since I was a professional coder, so suspect I wouldn't be much use even if I was familiar with the source. I do have a perfectly serious question though if a capable developer is reading this: what level of donation/remuneration would we be looking at to have this fixed? I know of several school network managers who would love this to be fixed, and it's not inconceivable we could club together the cash.
