VLC & multiple displays: once fullscreen, all others black

Once you go fullscreen in one display, VLC puts solid black overlay in all other displays. Why? How do I get rid of this silly behavior?

deactivate overlay.
Your GPU driver is stupid.

Preferences > Video > Black screens in Fullscreen mode : deactivate
