VLC 1.1.0 Bug Skin + Dual Display

Postby Sankyu » 24 Jun 2010 15:46

OS: Vista SP2 x64
VLC: 1.1.0 win32
Problem: Selection of display when going to full screen

Tried this with Matroska, Divx and xvid vids so far. Seems that codec doesn't matter at all.

With no skin, when I go for fullscreen, the video stream maximizes on active display screen, whichever it is (main or secondary)
With skin, when going fullscreen, video stream opens ALWAYS on main display screen, there is no way to make it open on secondary screen.

Tested this with 10+ different skins from official skins page. Happens with all of them.

Problem seems to be that when skins are enabled, somehow fullscreen always shows up on main display.
This is a different behaviour than in no-skin mode, when fullscreen goes to the display where the player was in originally.

Also, thanks for a great free software!

As of today, the skins2 interface does not manage multiple screens as far as fullscreen is concerned. This is not a bug per se, but a skins2 limitation.

Filling a bug does no harm, since it is a legitimate request.
