VLC WMP 11 conflict?

In VLC> Preferences > Set up associations.......had all audio, video, play lists checked & saved.

After installing WMP 11 they are not all checked, despite that I manually set them as done previously & save. When I open preferences see a few unchecked?

It's affecting the performance of VLC too.....how do i fix it........or do I need to uninstall WMP 11 & revert back to the default version 10?

WMP11 shouldn't have an effect to VLC performance.

The Audio files and Video files tickbox issue is a bug. But it shouldn't affect to file extensions itself, it is just a cosmetic one.
