H264 Issues

hi,
i tried playing Blu Ray Ripped H264 files using VLC player. But the frames are very slow and later the applications becomes irresponsible and the system gets heated up. please help me with this issue.Am running Win XP SP2 on Intel Centrino Duo.

earlier there wasn't any problem. since past one week am experiencing this problem.
