V4Lrecord broken after upgrade

I've been using VLC to record from my acquision board (source V4L input 1). Yesterday I upgraded from Fedora 12 to Fedora 14 and when I try to "open" the device, I have a black window.
Any idea on why it's not working and if I can fix it?

I figured it out... the capture was actually working but the *display* was not (couldn't play a file). For some reason during the upgrade the display module switched to "fb". It set it back to "default" and things are fine.
