Stream Recording With Newer VLC

Postby UnknownSoldier » 30 Oct 2010 02:04

Up until this past summer I used to record a local radio station that has a live stream online. I used the Convert function under Network Steam in VLC to convert the stream to an .mp3. Now I don't know exactly when it happened, but during the past few months one of the newer versions of VLC broke this and causes it to crash after a few seconds (up to 30~ seconds) after starting the recording. I'm assuming it was one of the newer versions because I just downloaded an older version of VLC (1.0.0) and was able to do this with no problems.

I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this and/or knows a solution, because I'd really rather be using the most up to date version when I'm using VLC for anything else.

Open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback and then paste the whole resulting log here.

When VLC crashes the message window closes as well.
