Media Players?

I have VLC, Zoom Home Max & WMP running with out any conflicts.

Can VLC play most audio video files/formats?

Do I need Zoom Player or can I safely uninstall it?

Thanks for posting your expert views. I wanna get rid of crap/dual softwares of my machines. I find VLC great.
