I've tried a few different files in various formats and get the same results every time. I get Audio but no Video. The selection screen (Title Screen, Main Screen, whatever) does show a frame from the video though. Any ideas?
Affirmative. Compatability issue? If so I'll update this thread on the issue after beta 2 is released, which might be today if they follow previous beta milestones.
I discovered that AirVideo is suffering from the same 4.2 beta issue. Audio but no Video. There's not much detail on there forums, but from what I read they have submitted a fix to apple for approval.
It's possible that this issue may fix itself as 4.2 exits beta but my guess is that Apple made some change to the video API in 4.2.
Are any of the developers able to confirm if an updated iPad app has been submitted to Apple to work with the iOS betas yet? I've just set off travelling for a couple of months with loads of films to watch and just upgraded to 4.2 beta 2! Not going to be fun trying to downgrade back to 3.2 on the road!
I second this: I could *really* use this update before heading out on the road again next week, as I use my iPad primarily for videos on planes Tell me where to PayPal the $ and I will buy the dev team a stack of beers!
