Subtitles not work under windows 7 for VLC remote iPad

Postby Rtrader88 » 12 Sep 2010 13:56

I have a problem with my subtitles on the vlc remote for the iPad.
Subtitles display good on a Mac osx system.

But when using on Windows 7, the subtitles don't show up (access via the vlc for iPad remote). The subtitle is a sub/idx file so normally it would have a few language track. Accessing via vlc remote no subtitle track show up.

It works good when I use the mouse to access the movie normally via the folders. All language option show up.

Is there a solution for this?

Hi,

I'm the author of VLC Remote. I have posted in this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=12&t=80172

essentially, there is a bug in the http interface which means that it isn't auto-loading subtitles

please support the VLC team, and hopefully they'll fix this when they can.

The only effective way to "support the VLC team" to fix bugs consists of sending patches.
The cash flow is much too low to have developpers on payroll, so money does not help directly (it's still useful for other purposes though).
