running only one instance of VLC

Postby Gandalf » 28 Apr 2005 13:01

Hello,
i'm running ubuntu linux, and i have a problem i couldn't solve neither myself neither by searching, so my question is: how can i run only one instance of VLC i mean when i double click a file, instead of opening a new VLC instance, play it in the old one that is already playing or just stopped

thanks in advance

an option is available in the prefs to run only one instance (don't remember where ... but you'll find it if you look)
