Unable to install VLC 1.1.3 on W7 64 bit PC

Postby Ian_B » 21 Aug 2010 16:16

I currently have VLC 1.1.2 installed and when I run it it tells me there's a new version available. When I tell it to download it does so, then deletes the update without installing. A manual update attempt gives me the message "Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installers author to obtain a new copy. More information at http://nsis.sf.net/NSIS_Error". Any suggestions as to what's wrong? This is 100% over 5 auto downloads and 5 manual.

Hi! I have the same problem. I am on W7 64 bit PC. The link provided here ( http://download.videolan.org/pub/videol ... -win32.exe ) doesn't work for me.This is the message I get:

"Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer’s author to obtain a new copy.
More information at:
http://nsis.sf.net/NSIS_Error"

It is a real pain in the a**! I am trying to update VLC since march, and I get the same error message every time.
