Hello everybody,
this is a very very very silly question, but I don't understand how to do it. How am I suppose to create the media library in VLC and how does it work then ? I have the French 1.1.2 version, I went to "Vue \ Liste de lecture" to make the library appear, but it is empty. Then, making the window bigger, I discovered that below "Playlist" and "Library", there is "My Computer" too which allows me to open "My Music", "My Videos" and "My Pictures" and from those folders I can play the music. My problem is: if I want to apply a skin to the player, I have no more access to "My Computer". I saw I can copy the files from "My Music" to "Library", but I don't understand what is the difference between the two folders, then I don't want to duplicate all my music neither, and I noticed that closing the layer and reopening it, the library was empty again. The thing is that I would like to pass to VLC as the default media player because I noticed that with the new version (1.1.2, downloaded yesterday) I can't no more convert media files and open them in Windows Media Player as I used to (before I changed the .ps in .mp3 for instance, and it worked, and now it is no more possible, so I'm thinking of making VLC my default player, so the problem with the library). I think this is the "Vue" menu that disappears but I'm not sure, and a second thing, with the "traditional" skin, the library can be integrated to the player while with the skin it is separated, so is it possible to have it integrated too ?
Here are some screenshot because I don't think my message is very clear:
