Hi,
I am trying to stream youtube videos with the activex control(version 1.1.2). But somehow the activex crashes("MediaPlayerEncounteredError" is raised).
I tried : AxVLCPlugin21.playlist.playItem(AxVLCPlugin21.playlist.add("http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NApza43 ... re=popular")).
Has anybody an idea?

Crash means a bug in VLC ActiveX component. You could try to pinpoint the bug by testing local files etc.

Oh, local files does not cause any trouble. Only webstreams(VLC itself can play webstreams, but why not the activex control?)

Most likely because ActiveX component is poorly maintained.
