Giberish subs

In prior versions leaving default encoding to "auto", would correctly display the subtitles.
In this version 1.1.0, I had to specify in order for them to show correctly.
(No, I have not changed my regional settings).

updated to 1.1.1. "auto" is replaced by "windows default". Behavior is still the same.

Force the encoding in the preferences.
