Can't Play Videos in 1.1.0

Postby calamity » 15 Jul 2010 23:56

Hi,

I recently updated the VLC to ver 1.1.0 but I can't seem to play the files easily anymore.

All of them are in an "opening" state for a long time. Here's an example:

After I have taken this image, while the program was still trying to open the video, I was searching for an answer in this forum . After a few moments (literally) the video started playing in the background. But as you might guess, opening a video shouldn't take moments...

Sorry if this sounded too noobish but any kind of help will be very appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi
When I try to open .mov file in VLC video won't play, only sound... QuickTime player opens that file normally. What does it mean?
I can post here Media Info log with detail info of that .mov file, if it needs.
Sorry about my bad english ;-)

.mkv file?
Yes, most of them are mkv files. I never had any problem with running mkv files before this version.

Sorry to realised it this late i think I post this at the wrong section when i was looking for .mkv errors. I did not realized it was the wrong OS platform.

Still, I like to thank the VideoLan Project for what they had done so far with VLC. Continue the great work guys~

Cheerz~

On the other hand, my problem is still unsolved...
