Volume annoyances

Postby Dignan17 » 12 Jul 2010 07:14

Greetings!

I love VLC, but I'm trying to nail down an annoyance I'm having with the volume control.

See, I have a Griffin Powermate to control volume and other things. At the moment, all I have it set up to do is control the global Windows volume.

However, when VLC is in focus, the knob only controls the volume level within VLC. That would be fine if I wanted it that way and could select it to happen, but I don't want it that way and it doesn't look like I can.

I've looked all through the settings and I can't seem to find anything to fix this. I would love to have one of two things:

1- a checkbox or some setting I could change to ignore this input in the application
2- a way to freeze the volume level at 100%

Or, some third thing that I haven't thought about.

Thanks for the help, folks!
